Project-A 504 – The Ultimate Restomod of the Peugeot 504 Coupé in Provence

Project-A 504, developed by Allure Provence Automotive near Aix-en-Provence, is a true tribute to French automotive heritage through the art of restomod. This project combines classic car restoration with modern engineering, offering a vintage driving experience enhanced with today’s performance and comfort.

1. Why a donor car?

Every restomod begins with a donor car, usually a classic or youngtimer vehicle. Since Allure Provence is not a car manufacturer but a restomod specialist, a base vehicle is essential to start the process. You can bring your own, or the team can help source one for you.

2. Project-A 504: Key Manufacturing Steps

a. Strip-down and Rust Treatment

The first step is a complete disassembly of the vehicle to eliminate corrosion and restore the original structure. This ensures a clean and solid base before any modern transformation.

b. Chassis Reinforcement & Re-engineering

The chassis is reinforced and fitted with an invisible roll cage, allowing performance upgrades up to 450 hp while keeping the classic aesthetic intact. Electronically-controlled suspension and modern wheel alignment geometry deliver cutting-edge handling .

c. Modernized & Sustainable Engine

The engine is a reworked 2,354 cc inline‑4, available in naturally aspirated flexfuel E85 (≈ 250 hp) or hybrid-turbocharged versions (≈ 350–450 hp depending on the spec). A 48V mild-hybrid system is in development to support sustainable restomod solutions.

d. Braking, Transmission & Custom Wheels

The braking system features Brembo floating calipers, a 6-speed manual transmission with traction control and Torsen limited-slip differential. Custom 17” or 18” wheels are designed to match both performance and classic design.

e. Interior & Modern Ergonomics

The interior is fully reimagined using high-end materials such as velvet, wood, and aluminum. A bespoke Focal infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provides modern connectivity, while maintaining a vintage ambiance.

f. Subtle Design Enhancements

Custom lighting signatures and subtle body modifications give the Project-A 504 restomod a look that is both iconic and modern — a true reinterpretation of the Peugeot 504 Coupé.

3. Why Choose Project-A 504?

  • A French artisan restomod project, blending heritage with performance for a bespoke, eco-conscious, and powerful classic vehicle.

  • A clear commitment to the circular economy: restoring instead of building new, reducing waste and carbon footprint while delivering modern driving standards.

  • Inspired by excellence: Project-A 504 follows in the footsteps of restomod leaders such as Nardone Automotive, Singer, or Kimera Automobili, while establishing its unique identity rooted in Provence.
